About Up With Books
Our Background
Up With Books was started in 2015 by two sisters who wanted to share their love of reading and adventure. Up With Books, Inc. was formed to share that love with children who otherwise might not have the same opportunity. We our proud to have distributed over 300,000 books! Please support our mission in helping all children have an opportunity to succeed in reading. Thank you!
Mission Statement:
Up With Books provides new books to underprivileged children and their families and promotes reading and literacy. We work with homeless shelters, food pantries, and community organizations to support these children.
Up With Books believe that all children should have the opportunity to own at least one book in their homes. Learning to read, and continuing on that path, is essential for the success of each child. Many children fall behind, especially during the summer months, and are not able to keep up with their peers.
There is nothing like getting comfortable with a new book and seeing where it can take you.
