A Book From Barbara

Up With Books has received a generous donation of hundreds of books from Dorothy Rouleau in memory of her sister, Barbara Rouleau.

For many years, Barbara collected certain children's books for the stories they told to instruct and inform, for their colorful design and composition, their illustration, and for wisdom experienced through understanding. She found the books she collected to be particularly inspirational, and desired for her collection to be given to those who may not have such books available to them.

Barbara traveled in her quest to experience God and found God everywhere.  She loved the simplicity of her children's books and saw God throughout, bestowing gentleness, contentment, and wisdom.

A Book From Barbara is given to children with love in hope that they will enjoy the book as much as she enjoyed selecting it and giving it away.

Barbara was an artist and worked for many years teaching art in the West Hartford, Connecticut School System.

Up With Books is honored to have been chosen to distribute the beautiful books to children in need throughout our community.
